Minembwe<\/b> is a group of several villages located in the highlands of the Fizi Territory, in the South Kivu Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).<\/p>\n
It is situated at an altitude of about 2,500 meters above sea level, in a hilly and mountainous region covered with forests, which provides fertile land for agriculture.<\/p>\n
It is approximately 150 kilometers south of Bukavu, the capital city of South Kivu. The region is also home to various streams and rivers that flow into Lake Tanganyika, the second-deepest lake in the world.<\/p>\n
Kibembe\u00a0is the most commonly spoken language in Minembwe, followed by\u00a0Swahili, which is prevalent in most of the sector centers. However, other minority populations speak their own\u00a0vernacular languages. Melody Of New Hope<\/strong> took steps to give greater hope and life transformation to the people of Minembwe in RDC, where Adrien spent his childhood. Minembwe is characterized by ethnic discrimination, war, and poverty, so great effort is needed to raise children in peace.Unity and reconciliation are encouraged among the citizens.<\/p>\n Melody of New Hope, in collaboration with various donors, was able to bring a community of different tribes together by building Gisoki Church. We also built an orphanage that accommodates more than 250 Children who are now able to access basic life needs including education, nutrition, clothing, and safe housing.<\/p>\n Many families still lack food, basic medical care, clothing, and resources to school their children.<\/p>\n
